Blackfalds

Town
83 A

Approximately 12 km north of Red Deer.

A post office opened here in October 1902 and is said to have been named after a place in Scotland, spelled Blackfaulds. The post office was previously known as Waghorn, after the first postmaster, and prior to that was simply called Eleventh Siding by the railway company. Blackfalds was incorporated as a town in 1980.
