Approximately 80 km south-east of Edmonton.
The post office, previously known as Molstad, was established here by the name Bawlf in May 1907. Plans for the townsite were laid out in 1905, and it was incorporated in 1906. Nicholas Bawlf was President of the North Elevator Company, associated with the Winnipeg Grain Exchange.
